Our Campaigns

Through streamlined and targeted initiatives, our campaigns are an avenue to partner with local organizations and community leaders to build clean energy momentum in their own town or region.

By combining bulk purchase discounts, offering custom financing, organizing workshops, and identifying the solar potential of buildings we provide the tools and expertise necessary for engaging local institutions in their consideration of solar.

We have conducted a number of campaigns, detailed below, with a focus on making clean energy accessible, while simultaneously increasing financial and environmental benefits. Since its launch, Westwood Interfaith Solar Campaign has succeeded in empowering four houses of worship from four diverse faith backgrounds to chose solar. First Parish Westwood, First Baptist Westwood, Temple Beth David and soon to be St. John’s Episcopal Church will have the equivalent carbon reduction as conserving an area of forest greater in size than forty-six Fenway Parks. Once complete, the the cumulative size of the arrays will be 108 kW, producing an annual 122,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh). Projected 25 year savings for all four projects are expected to be just shy of one million dollars.

Rise Up Solar! 2019

Across Massachusetts, houses of worship are joining the clean energy movement and using the benefits to support the communities they serve. Massachusetts Interfaith Power & Light (MIP&L) and Resonant Energy are teaming up to help houses of worship access the tools to be leaders in this movement.

Massachusetts Interfaith Power & Light (MassIPL) is a 20-year-old nonprofit organization that has been helping houses of worship lower their carbon footprint through energy efficiency and renewable energy, as well as grassroots advocacy for climate-friendly policy, legislation, and regulation. Over the past 20 years, MassIPL has completed over 200 energy audits and during the 6 years of their solar energy program, have guided over three dozen houses of worship to successful solar installations. MassIPL and Resonant Energy have been partners in the expanding access to solar for over 4 years.

The City of Melrose, Melrose Energy Commission (MEC), Resonant Energy and Boston Solar Company are teaming up to help the City achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 through widespread adoption of rooftop solar. Through the campaign three houses of worships— Melrose Highland Congregational Church, Green Street Baptist Church, and The First Baptist Church of Melrose— successfully went solar.

The City completed a highly successful residential solar campaign and is now looking to connect nonprofits, houses of worship, and local businesses to solar solutions designed for them.
